public class SimpleIndicator

extends javax.swing.JPanel

Indicator field which changes color depending on enabling state. This component respects the Look-n-Feel and is pluggable-l'n'f-aware. As you might recognize, this is a really stupid object. Really stupid. Really really stupid. Everything productive done by this cretin is done by the UI delegate.

And even that one does nothing intelligent...

Turns enabled state on and off. Enabling controls how the object represents itself. So, changing the enable state is always followed by a redraw.

createIndicatedJListPanel

public static javax.swing.JPanel createIndicatedJListPanel(javax.swing.JList li)

Convenience method for combining a list with two of these indicators. The given list is put into a JScrollPane and in north and south of that pane, two indicators are added to show whether the list has the focus or not. This is especially useful when nothing in the list is selected because in this case, it is not clear that the list has the focus at all.
