public class RowResizingJTable

extends javax.swing.JTable

JTable with somehow intelligent row height computation. Unlike TableCellSizeAdjustor, RowResizingJTable doesn't look at the really presented data, but takes the Renderers for the table and the maximum of their preferredSize().height when fed with null objects.

As there may be renderers for objects which are larger than the largest really shown object in the table (e.g. non-shown checkboxes together with shown but small-fonted text), row height may become too large. But that's better than too small...

computeRowHeight

protected void computeRowHeight()

compute row height. Called in every updateUI (before the standard updateUI()-Code). Takes all default renderers, updates their UI (if JComponent), and sets the row height to the maximum of all.

Inspired by JTableHeader.
